Board asks Marion Woods to confirm insurance, damage timeline
Summary

Board members asked whether Marion Woods had filed insurance claims for past flooding and more recent roof damage to the mansion parcel. "Marion Woods has insurance," said the organization's on-site representative, who said she would need to research whether claims were made for the earlier flood or subsequent roof problems.
"If you could send us a copy of the policy, we might be able to have somebody take a look at that too and see if there's a claim that could be made," said Mister Lieberman. A board member showed photos that appear to document roof deterioration between July 2025 and April 2026 and asked that town building staff review the engineering facts. The applicant's counsel said he would investigate and report back on any loss runs or claim history.
The board did not resolve insurance issues at the meeting; staff and counsel were directed to request copies of any insurance policy and damage documentation for review.
