Loami reviews Colburn Park OSLAD grant plans; pre-bid set for March 5

The Village of Loami board reviewed updates to Colburn Park improvements funded by an OSLAD grant. Mayor Steven Lambert introduced Greg Hillis of Benton Engineering, who described design revisions and the upcoming procurement schedule.
Hillis said changes to the walking path were required because of the ground slope to ensure ADA compliance. He also said the design now includes standard swing sets on each side of the reservoir and an ADA-compliant swing on the east side. Hillis announced a pre-bid meeting on March 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Village of Loami office, a bid opening on April 2 at 2:00 p.m., and that Benton Engineering will review bids and provide a recommendation at the regular board meeting on April 9.
The schedule and design changes were presented for board awareness; the board will consider any bid recommendations at the April meeting.
