Loami’s chili cook-off praised; Christmas in the Park set for Dec. 12 with road closures

Erin Cohen, Loami Celebration chairperson, said the recent chili cook-off was a success and that the Food Pantry held a bake sale during the event. She thanked community partners and noted the event helped involve other local organizations.
Cohen said Christmas in the Park will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 and will include horse-drawn carriage rides, cookies, hot cocoa, a free meal and a visit from Santa; a portion of Main Street and Church Street will need to be closed, consistent with last year’s arrangements. Chief Stan Workman confirmed the Police Department will handle the road closures.
