Loami board adopts 2025 tax levy ordinance

The Village of Loami Board of Trustees voted to adopt Ordinance 2025-08, setting the levy and assessment of taxes for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2025, and ending April 30, 2026. Trustee Jay Branson moved to accept the ordinance and Trustee Billy Cohen seconded; the motion carried on a roll-call vote recorded as Branson Aye, Cohen Aye, Mann Nay, Schmideler Aye, Stark Aye.
The board discussed the levy during the regular meeting after Treasurer Brad Colantino presented the September treasurer’s report. Finance committee chair Trustee Courtney Schmideler noted the finance group (Mayor Steven Lambert, Treasurer Colantino, Clerk Carissa Grider and herself) met to discuss the 2025/2026 levy and confirmed that OSLAD grant funds have been received. The ordinance was adopted by formal motion; the clerk will publish the levy as required.
