Selectboard approves mower glass repairs, schedules culvert and road closures

Road foreman Rodney Hoyt reported multiple maintenance needs and upcoming work on town roads at the June 9 Selectboard meeting. He told the board the mower side window was broken by a rock and the protective plexiglass is scratched; replacement estimates were roughly $650 for the side window and about $1,000 for the protective layer (an upgraded protective glass option costing about $3,300 was dismissed).
The board authorized the work, with a motion to "authorize the purchase and replacement of the side window for no more than $650 and the protective layer for no more than $1,200" that passed during the meeting. Rodney also reported the culvert replacement on Dickerman is complete, Whitney Hill has one remaining culvert to replace, and a replacement on Kibling Hill is scheduled to start June 15 with the road reopening after June 19; signs and notifications were in place.
Board members asked Rodney to prepare a resurfacing plan for Class III roads to discuss in July; Rodney said he would prioritize reaching the top of Spring Road. The minutes record cost estimates, schedule windows, and the board's authorization to proceed with the specified repairs.
