Milford City Council adopted the FY2026–2027 operating budget (Resolution 08-2026) on June 16 and approved a package of related fiscal resolutions, including a property tax rate and salary adjustments.
The council set the real and personal property tax rate at 0.00951, which the staff estimated would generate about $129,063 in revenue. Council Member Scott Symond moved to adopt the property tax resolution, which passed unanimously. The council also adopted Resolution 04-2026 (Utah Retirement Systems contribution rates), Resolution 07-2026 (FY2025–2026 budget amendments) and Resolution 09-2026 (adjusting compensation and salaries) as part of the meeting's fiscal actions.
Council Member Les Whitney moved to adopt the FY2026–2027 budget; the motion passed unanimously. The adopted budget and accompanying resolutions put in place staff-pay adjustments and the city's revenue assumptions for the coming fiscal year.
