The Salina Board of Education convened in executive session under Okla. Stat. Title 25, § 307(B)(1) to discuss confidential personnel matters and returned to open session at 7:39 p.m. Afterward, the board approved several hires and accepted resignations.
Board President Leroy Monk moved to hire Nathan Teed as a bus driver for 2026–2027 pending Nathan obtaining a CDL with P and S endorsements by Aug. 1, 2026; the motion was seconded by Jackie Ball and passed unanimously. The board also hired Briley Berry as a part-time groundskeeper (20 hours per week) from May 12 until Aug. 7, 2026 at $17.50 per hour, and approved hiring Kathy Breeden to serve half-time as Special Services Director and half-time as Special Education Teacher. The board accepted letters of resignation effective May 15, 2026 from Rebecca (Becky) Henderson, Danny Tugman, Claudia Sweger, Reba Daly, Matthew Breedlove, Cindy Chuculate, Johnnie (JoJo) Husband and Parker Ballard. All actions were recorded as approved by unanimous vote.
