Rumson-Fair Haven board adopts 2024–25 district and board goals

"Our mission is to empower all of our students with the tools to find their passions and thrive as knowledgeable, confident, resilient, creative, and compassionate citizens of a global community." The board front-loaded its business Sept. 10 by approving prior meeting minutes and a slate of district and board goals for the 2024–25 school year.
The district goals approved include Goal 1: provide resources, mentorship and support to attract and retain high-level teachers and develop aspiring leaders; Goal 2: assess and refine the block schedule in its second year with increased mentoring and data-driven monitoring of student growth; and Goal 3: evaluate and update the 2021–2025 Strategic Plan with quarterly monitoring beginning Nov. 2024. The board directed that the Strategic Plan be reviewed quarterly (Nov. 2024, Feb. 2025, Apr. 2025 and July 2025) and asked administration to align committee goals with district priorities. On a motion by Mr. Page, seconded by Mrs. Whitehouse, the board approved the minutes and goals by roll call; two members (Mr. Grant and Mrs. McCabe) were recorded as absent.
