Selectboard approves overweight permit and hears highway equipment timeline

At the May 27 meeting the Selectboard approved an overweight-permit request for Countryside Septic.
Ricky Morin moved to approve the permit “to town specs”; Tim Bullard seconded and the motion was approved. The board also received updates from Highway Department staff: a 2012 Freightliner remains at Charlebois for repairs but is expected back this week, crushing will begin at Harvey's late this week or early next week, and a street sweeper is scheduled to arrive June 9. Staff will gather invoices related to repairs of the 2024 Western Star truck for review.
Board members said they are still searching for Camp Road survey markers and will contact a vendor about cutting markers already found. No new highway appropriations were adopted at the meeting.
