Selectboard to contact excavator after riverbank washout at temporary bridge

"The river has washed out the river banks where they had placed the temporary bridge," said Ricky Morin, who reported discussing the problem with Chris Brunelle. Brunelle "feels the river bank should be armored to prevent any further wash out happening," the board recorded. Board members said they expect Kirk Fenoff & Son Excavating, who performed the original work, to return to review and correct the site.
Tim Bullard opened the special meeting at the Boy Scout Camp Road Bridge and noted that contractor representatives were unable to attend that evening. The board directed staff to reach out to Kirk Fenoff & Son Excavating to coordinate a follow-up visit and to discuss necessary repairs or bank armoring measures. No formal vote was recorded; the action is a direction to contact the contractor and schedule next steps.
The board discussed risk to the temporary bridge and the need for a contractor assessment before further temporary-bridge use or work. The town did not specify a timeline for the contractor response or a proposed armoring method.
