Marina general manager Chris Ferguson gave the board a monthly operational update. Ferguson said the marina is roughly $500,000 ahead of last year in total revenue, with transient revenue about $120,000 ahead and annual dockage $72,000 ahead. He reported fuel revenue of about $350,000 (roughly 62,500 gallons) and noted many transient boats were staying for extended periods (weeks to months) rather than nightly transits.
Ferguson said the North mooring field is fully operational after repairs and divers are completing work on the South Field; the goal is to have all 16 mooring balls back in service within about two weeks. On abandoned vessels, he said Florida Fish & Wildlife documented each vessel and will pursue the removal process, which can take six to eight months per boat.
Board members discussed a proposal for a temporary gate on E‑Dock to provide evening security for overnight vessels while allowing daytime public access. Ferguson said the long‑term redevelopment design anticipates controlled access at gangways; the board asked staff to consider gate placement, operational procedures for charter operators and police response protocols.
