Mayor Nathan Brown opened the City of Brunswick meeting at 6:00 P.M. and announced that the Mayor and Council would hold a closed session following the open meeting "to discuss personnel issues in accordance with the Maryland Open Meetings Act, State Government Article, Section 3-305." The meeting roll was read and a new committee member was sworn in.
Brown read proclamations recognizing Pride Month and volunteerism; representatives of the Frederick Center and Rick Weldon offered brief remarks connected to those proclamations. The open session concluded with routine business that moved into consent and new-business items before the council voted to adjourn to the cited closed session.
