Zoning Administrator Jason Wilson raised questions about designation eligibility under Act 181 and about gaps in the town’s Conserved Land Map.
"Jason will reach out to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen about this again," the minutes report. Wilson said there are questions whether those ski-area parcels would qualify for Tier 1 or 1B designation under Act 181. He also flagged that certain conserved lands do not appear on the Conserved Land Map and said he is in communication with CVRPC to determine whether this type of conservation will be included.
The commission recorded Wilson’s outreach plan as next steps; no formal determination or vote was taken at the meeting. Commissioners asked staff to follow up with the named landowners and with CVRPC to clarify map content and eligibility standards under Act 181.
