At the Sept. 24 meeting the Village Clerk, Karen Wingfield-Bond, administered the oath to Lieutenant Andrew Scott. The swearing-in was announced during the clerk's report and recorded in the meeting minutes.
Mayor Curry asked the board to approve the appointment of Dwyane King to the Planning & Zoning Board. Trustee Marshall moved the appointment and Trustee Lilly seconded; roll call recorded ayes from Trustees Eaves, Lilly, Blakey, Clark and Marshall and the motion carried. Mayor Curry thanked Mr. King for previous service and said he was willing to serve again.
The clerk also announced early voting for the Presidential Election will begin Oct. 21. Early voting hours were listed as Monday–Saturday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
