WisDOT engineer outlines County D safety work and bridge replacements in Price County

Randie Ruby, WisDOT traffic safety engineer, presented the engineers' report and detailed planned construction and operational safety work for Price County. Ruby said: "Price County construction projects include County D, with 10.3 miles of safety improvements in Phillips from May 2026 to November 2027; Hills Road bridge replacement in June 2026; and Larkin Road bridge replacement from May 2026 to 2027." Ruby also reported that a speed zone evaluation on WIS 13 does not recommend a speed limit adjustment at this time and noted flashing lights on stop signs at Little Chicago/State Highway 111 and State Highway 13.
The presentation was filed with the commission; no funding votes or project approvals were taken at this meeting. The commission recorded the timeline for projects and will revisit operational/safety assessments as needed.
