Langley Council adopts consent agenda, moves state water grant to discussion

The City of Langley City Council on April 7 approved its consent agenda, which included payroll transactions and vouchers and accounts-payable items, routine meeting minutes, a no-objection for a Village Wine Shop liquor license, and a cemetery buyback covering three plots. The payroll transactions and vouchers totaled $92,536.28 and A/P transactions totaled $104,056.00; Councilmember Rhonda Salerno moved adoption and Councilmember Chris Carlson seconded. The consent agenda was adopted as amended and the motion passed unanimously.
Councilmember Salerno requested that the Department of Health source water protection grant (item 2.f) be moved from the consent agenda to Discussion item 8.a for further review. That change was accepted and the remainder of the consent items were adopted without further debate. The council’s recorded attendance for the meeting included Mayor Kennedy Horstman and Councilmembers Harolyn Bobis, Rhonda Salerno, Chris Carlson, Craig Cyr, and Gail Fleming.
