Kevin told the board that district communications on a revised student cell‑phone policy began that day and that staff will continue to share information via social media and ParentSquare to prepare for the school year. He said the district is designing signage and banners for buildings and expects both supportive and critical feedback as the policy moves closer to implementation.
"We've started to design the visuals, the signage that will go within the buildings," Kevin said, adding that the district will communicate multiple times before students return. Board members encouraged parents to ask questions and directed staff to be ready to answer concerns as the policy is rolled out.
Kevin said the board will be given time to study the proposed changes before making any decision.
