Board clarifies funding for turf and CTE projects; private donation covers major CTE costs

"The turf project is funded out of strictly out of the capital projects fund," Kevin said, explaining that capital-projects funds can only be used for capital work and not for salaries or general operations. Stephanie added that part of the capital balance derives from state match money left over from prior projects and that the money is not bond proceeds.
On the CTE project, Kevin said a donation from the Wilbur Rep trust—"With interest, it'll be about 4,200,000, from that donation"—plus a small amount of state construction assistance and other capital‑project funds are covering costs. He emphasized those donated funds are restricted to the CTE project and cannot be repurposed. The board also noted contributions from the Graff/Grama family toward the turf work and said it plans public recognition and naming consistent with donor wishes.
Board members urged the public to rely on official district information rather than social media when asking where project dollars originate.
