Selah students earn national honors at FCCLA leadership conference

The Selah School District board recognized nine students who represented the district at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. Kevin listed individual accomplishments, noting statewide and national placements. “We had 9 students, 5 of which are high school students and 4 middle school students represent their schools and community there,” he said. He cited specific results: a national third‑place finish for Natalie Brink, a national champion title for Melissa Falcone in a working-with-children skills demonstration, Claire Richards as a national champion in impromptu speaking, and several top‑10 qualifiers including Olivia Eisman in fashion.
The board framed the appearances as a district highlight and commended the adult advisors and parents for supporting the students’ travel and competition.
