Residents urge board to work with local dog rescue amid zoning complaint

Paul Redmond (speaker 10) said the operation was largely unknown to nearby residents and that it had rehomed about 400 dogs in the past; Lauren Nutt (speaker 12), a close neighbor, told the board she has kept open lines of communication with the operator and estimated the on-site dog count at around 15. Board members reiterated that zoning complaints had been filed and that the zoning hearing board—not the supervisors—hears those matters; the supervisors said they must balance enforcement of zoning rules with sympathy for the rescue's mission.
