The Salina Board of Education voted to approve the consent agenda at its Oct. 13, 2025 regular meeting. The motion, made by Board President Leroy Monk and seconded by Jarred Sorum, passed with Casey McWhirt, Jarred Sorum, Jackie Ball and Leroy Monk voting yes; Greg Rice was recorded absent. The consent agenda included the Sept. 8, 2025 minutes; new encumbrances of $42,925.53 in the General Fund (PO#171–183 & 50136–50143), $8,629.00 in the Co‑op Fund (PO#3–5) and $9,500.00 in the Building Fund (PO#26–29); approved fundraisers; and the Quarter 2 student transfer capacities.
The board also sanctioned multiple outside booster organizations, including HS Football Quarterback Club, HS Baseball Dug Out Club, Salina Basketball Booster Club, Salina Softball Boost Club, Salina Little League Basketball, Salina Little League Wrestling Club, Salina 4‑H/FFA Booster, HS Cheer Booster and Band Booster. The approvals were recorded in the meeting minutes and will be reflected in the district’s fiscal records for FY26.
