Langford Davidson, identified in the minutes as chair of the Planning Commission, asked the Fayston Conservation Commission for its thoughts on Act 59, which aims for 30% land conservation by 2030. Commissioners said they will discuss Act 59’s goals in relation to the Town Plan and Act 171 requirements to identify and map forest blocks and habitat connectors.
The minutes list a listening session at Yestermorrow on Monday, March 30 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and note that there are additional statewide in-person and online opportunities. FCC plans to consider how Act 59’s target aligns with existing town policies.
