The Story County Board of Supervisors approved routine governance items on July 28: minutes from the July 21 meeting, personnel actions as presented, claims and the consent agenda were moved, seconded and adopted by affirmative vote of supervisors present.
Lisa Markley presented the June 30 quarterly financial report: the county spent about 84% of the amended budget year-to-date, secondary-roads spending was 99%, the rural fund had an ending fund balance of 27% (higher than budgeted) and overall revenues were approximately 100.34% of assumptions. Supervisors were told a $1.3 million construction item will be moved into FY27 because those dollars were not spent in FY26.
