The St. George City Council approved Ordinance 2026-0052, an amendment to the Desert Color plan development to permit a McDonald’s and associated site layout on about 1.28 acres east of Desert Color Parkway between Southern Parkway and Black Mountain Drive. Planning staff (Dan) described the site as roughly 1.25 acres, noted the required 24 parking stalls and the applicant’s proposal of 40 stalls, and said the planning commission recommended approval.
Dan said the design includes two drive-thru lanes that merge into a single pick-up area and typical building materials and elevations. He noted the plat and site plan must be recorded prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy. Natalie Larson moved approval; Michelle Tanner seconded, and the ordinance passed on a roll-call vote.
