Lehman said the center will file an application for accreditation-plus through the National Association for the Education of Young Children at the end of September and expects an on-site observation visit.
Lehman emphasized the effect of financial supports for student families: parents reported reduced stress and improved capacity to complete classes or work because child-care costs were offset. "We were a level 5 coming into our reapplication. After our observations, we were able to maintain that level 5 rating with the IQ 4 k," she said. The board thanked staff for the program report and raised no motions for further action.
