At the April 22 meeting the Selectboard approved two overweight permits (Andrew Lawrence and Riggs Distler & Company) and a directional-drilling permit for Consolidated Communications on Old Deuso Road; the company must contact Selectboard member Ricky Morin before work so he can inspect. The board also asked for spring/summer traffic counts on Knowles Flat Road (one sensor by the school entrance and another by White Road), to be scheduled either immediately–June 1 or after September 1 so school is in session.
Ricky moved to pull posted signs effective May 4 on town roads except East Hill Road (which will remain posted until May 15); the motion passed. The Western Star truck remains out of service awaiting parts. The board reviewed quotes for a sweeper and an excavator with chipper and decided to begin trucking crushed gravel to the town garage in late May.
