Selectboard revises Eden Youth Sports policy to allow out-of-town children
Summary
Following a brief presentation by newly appointed Eden Youth Sports members, the Selectboard revised the youth-sports policy to allow children from other towns to participate; the board provided policy and Open Meeting Law materials to the group.
Newly appointed Eden Youth Sports members met with the Selectboard and received copies of the youth-sports policy, VLCT Open Meeting Law Q&A, and sample agendas and minutes. The group was advised to set a regular meeting time and reorganize the board.
After discussion the Selectboard agreed to change policy wording to include children from other towns who wish to play. Ricky Morin moved to revise the policy, Clayton Whittemore seconded, and the motion carried. The board did not record any further conditions or fee changes in the minutes.
