Health Officer Faye Cochran reported an illegal-burning complaint from East Hill Road and said she visited the property with Matt Hill because of prior issues. They found an area where items had recently been burned; after speaking with the tenants, "they agreed that they would have it cleaned up by Friday, April 25th at 4pm when Faye and Matt return." The tenants were instructed not to burn such items again because it is illegal.
Cochran also said the tenants would work to register unregistered dogs on Friday if they had proper paperwork. At the meeting Cochran asked the Selectboard to consider adopting a local burning ordinance so violations could be enforced locally; the board took the request under advisement and asked staff to follow up.
