The Mad River Valley Recreation District outlined its accomplishments and 2026 plans and asked the Fayston Selectboard for level funding of $40,000. Laura Arnesen said the district closed a VOREC grant, added Moretown as a member, installed a new irrigation system at Mad River Park and awarded $55,000 in grants last year. "The intent is to judiciously spend all the funds that are collected," Arnesen told the board.
Arnesen said community requests have included an indoor pool and indoor soccer, but she cautioned such projects are large and "the only way to fund this type of project would be a bond vote." The presentation provided context for the district's five-year strategic planning and the request was entered into the budget review; the board did not make a final appropriation during the meeting.
