Paul Yingling, representing the Fire Mitigation Advisory Committee, requested board support for chainsaw training to be held Feb. 15–17 with Team Rubicon. Yingling said the committee has 24 seats planned (to be filled by town residents where possible), nine people are already signed up and five homeowners have consented to allow use of their properties for training and mitigation work in the northwest side of town.
Yingling asked trustees and neighbors to advocate for sign-ups and offered to provide the full training details for the town newsletter and website; clerk staff said the event banner will be posted on the town home page. Trustees responded that the clerk may include the information in the town newsletter and asked Yingling to send materials electronically.
