Marshal Sean Goings told trustees December was a small month (19 calls for service) and that the office recorded about 425 calls for service for the year with roughly 170 traffic stops. He also reported reserve officers logged 17 hours and that mandated state training for marshal staff is complete.
Goings said he performed a preliminary background check for town manager candidate Caleb Patterson using NCIC and the Colorado Crime Information Center and found no active warrants or outstanding cases; a county sheriff background check remains pending due to a backlog. Goings said he did not find items of concern in preliminary checks but some credit information and other details are still outstanding.
