The Board of Trustees approved a special-event permit for a 2025 Skynet art installation proposed for Gazebo Park, with installation planned for June 1 and deinstallation by Oct. 30. Applicant Jesse Stroop described the work as a suspended mylar net anchored mostly to existing trees and said the team will use a certified arborist for attachments; one high point will require a small engineered radio-style tower similar to work done for a prior Janet Echelman installation.
Stroop said Green Box is focusing on Colorado artists this year and that lighting decisions remain under consideration; he asked the board to permit low-voltage LED illumination coincident with park hours (turning off at 10 p.m.). Trustees voiced no objections and approved the permit by voice vote. Stroop said visuals and a packet video were provided for trustees' review.
