Board approves interim town manager agreement contingent on final background check

The Green Mountain Falls Board of Trustees voted to approve an interim town manager agreement contingent upon receipt of a final background check. A trustee moved that the board "consider approval of the town manager agreement, contingent upon the background check as written," and a second was recorded before the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The candidate, Caleb Patterson, joined by Zoom and apologized for being remote due to snow. Patterson said he expects no problems from the outstanding county background check and told trustees he looks forward to starting in February. Trustees discussed minor packet redactions (a designated beneficiary) and scheduling of a performance evaluation later in the year; the board agreed to complete the final background step before the mayor executes the agreement.
