PPRTA rep outlines funding formula; town to receive roughly $126,000 combined annually

Rick Sonnenberg, who spoke at trustees' request, said the draft 2025 budget is "$163,000,000" and explained the ballot formula that distributes capital and maintenance funds by population. He told trustees the draft shows the Town of Green Mountain Falls would receive approximately $52,000 in maintenance funds and $74,000 in capital funds under the PPRTA allocation for the period covered by the draft budget.
Trustees and the audience asked about administration caps, contract approval thresholds and the citizen advisory committee structure. Craig Gooding, a current CAC member in the audience, described the CAC's role as advisory and said the board approves contracts after CAC recommendation.
