Richmond Street Department wins approval for vehicle contract addendum; price rises to $83,437.68

The Board of Works and Safety approved addendum No. 1 to contract 1562025 with Wetzel Auto after the Richmond Street Department reported a stock update required a model-year substitution.
DL Bozell of the Richmond Street Department presented the addendum, saying the original contract with Wetzel Auto (entered Dec. 16, 2025) specified a 2025 Ford F-350 chassis with service body. Because of a stock update the contractor will instead furnish a 2026 model, increasing the contract amount by $3,937.92 to a new total of $83,437.68. “The street department entered into a contract with Wetzel Auto on 12/16/2025 for a 2025 Ford F-350 chassis with service body,” Bozell said, explaining the requested change and the new total.
A board member moved to approve addendum No. 1 and the Chair seconded; the motion carried by voice vote. Bozell told the Board staff will issue a purchase order as soon as the addendum is completed and the vehicle is in stock.
