The Board approved a closure of Elm Place for the Hideaway Customer Appreciation Day on Aug. 22.
Monica Burns, deputy city clerk, said Rick Parker and the Hideaway requested the annual closure of Elm Place from North 8th Street to the underpass for an event running from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. “This is an event that they have held ever since 2011,” Burns said, describing plans for canopies, chairs and live music.
A board member moved to approve the closure; the Chair seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
