Commissioners and the BCRC presenters agreed that a combined walking tour and community visioning meeting would help boost survey response and inform plan drafting. The group settled on May 30 at 12:00 p.m. as the preferred date, with Sunday, June 6 set as the rain date. "So 12 noon on May 30, walking, visioning, snacking," Committee member said when confirming the plan.
The presenters recommended mailing the survey ahead of the event and having paper copies available on-site so residents could fill them out during the visioning meeting. The commission asked that the outreach materials include a clear cover letter explaining how to return completed surveys (via drop box or mail) and that event logistics (route, stopping points, and volunteers) be coordinated with local historians and volunteers.
