Board approves wide personnel slate, hires and stipend changes for 2024–25

Highlights approved in Personnel Items #2–#21 included the hiring of Michael Damiano as Maintenance at a salary of $50,050 (Step 4) effective Sept. 16, 2024; Krista Portelli as a Special Education teacher at $83,595 (Step 19 / BA guide) with an anticipated start of Oct. 28, 2024 pending release from her current district; and Margaret Primavera as a paraprofessional at $28,450 (Step 1) pending criminal history approval. The board also rescinded the appointment of Francis Cherichello as a School Counselor long‑term leave replacement and approved long‑term replacements such as Arianna Hoffman (School Counselor) through Jan. 22, 2025.
Coaching and extracurricular stipends were adjusted or ratified, including sidebar agreement language to list Head Strength and Conditioning Coach / Fitness Center Coordinator under Group II stipends and seasonal stipends ratified for Robert Orrok and others. The slate was moved by Mr. Grant, seconded by Mrs. Thompson, and approved by roll call (all voting Yes).
