S4 said the FEMA grant would require a 25% local match while noting the town had also considered a Better Back Roads option (described as an 80/20 split) and could stop pursuing FEMA funding if the Better Back Roads application succeeds. "At this point, it's a letter of intent and then the application would be at the end of May," S4 said, adding the town could decline any award later.
