Commissioner Freddie Graves told the commission that Chapter 6 (Housing) and Chapter 2 (History) include multiple references to institutions and materials that are now defunct or obsolete. She named the 2017 MRV Housing Study, the Mad River Housing Coalition, the Rural Resource Commission and the MRV Conservation Partnership as examples recorded in the minutes.
Graves recommended significant edits to Chapter 6 to remove or update those references and bring the housing chapter up to current local partnerships and data sources. Commissioners agreed the housing chapter will be a priority for revision as part of the broader plan-update process and noted the need for survey work and regional consultation to guide replacements for obsolete references.
