DFACS board resignation accepted; appointment postponed to July meeting

Chairman Graham informed the board that Naheede Brooks had submitted her resignation from the Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) Board effective immediately; Brooks' term had been scheduled to expire on June 30, 2029. Graham said the appointment to fill the seat would be for the remainder of that term and that he had spoken with BJ Evans about the vacancy.
Commissioner Allen L. Troy moved to postpone consideration of the appointment until the July Board of Commissioners meeting; Commissioner Richard Burley seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The county clerk will place the appointment on the July agenda.
