On June 18, 2026, the Warren County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve Land Use Application #2026-3-30, allowing owner Marvin Newman Jr. to rezone five acres at 5182 Purvis School Road from Rural Residential to Suburban Residential and to split the tract into two parcels of approximately 2.5 acres each. Planning/Code Administrator Michael Thipen presented the application and reported the old mobile home had been removed and that each new parcel has proper water and sewer connections.
The Planning Commission had recommended approval before the board action. Chairman John R. Graham noted the change and the board recorded a unanimous vote to adopt the rezoning; a copy of the application will be placed in the meeting attachments for the public record.
