The Englewood City Council voted to adopt Ordinance 26-20, designating the intersection of North Woodland Street and Johnson Avenue as a four-way stop. Council President Rosenzweig opened and closed a public hearing with no speakers and the council approved the ordinance on roll call.
Rosenzweig said the safety measure was overdue: "This is long overdue. I think it will help public safety considerably." The ordinance was read by the municipal clerk as an amendment to schedule 4 of section 25-11. No members of the public testified at the hearing. The council's roll-call approval recorded affirmative votes and the measure moves forward as adopted.
