Darrington council approves agenda, minutes, community center grant application and routine payments

The council unanimously approved the Jan. 8 agenda and Dec. 11 minutes; approved the Community Center Club's request to pursue grants; elected Gary Willis as an alternate; approved accounts payable; and adjourned the meeting.
At its Jan. 8 meeting the Darrington Town Council took several routine actions. Julie Ford moved and Billie Burtenshaw seconded approval of the meeting agenda; the motion carried unanimously. Ford also moved to approve the Dec. 11, 2024 minutes, which carried unanimously after Evan Craig seconded.
The council amended the agenda to consider a Community Center Club request and then approved the Club's application to seek grants for a fire suppression hood vent and commercial kitchen upgrades. Reed Rankin moved to elect Gary Willis as an alternate; Billie Burtenshaw seconded and the motion carried. The council approved accounts payable on a motion by Reed Rankin and adjourned following a motion by Evan Craig.
