The Building Department reported 17 permits issued from Oct. 9–Oct. 22, 2024, with a total permit value of $4,794.00 and provided a department contact for questions. Public Works noted there were no water-main breaks, the chipping crew and tree-trimming crews remain active (more than 40 trees trimmed), two streetlights were repaired and ditch mowing on Burnham/Torrence/Stony Island is complete; crews will perform another round of restorations before winter and continue pothole repairs.
Trustees and staff also highlighted upcoming community events: a village shred event on Oct. 26 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.) in the Village Hall parking lot, a Tax Appeal Forum on Nov. 7 at Sandridge School, and a Veterans luncheon on Nov. 12. The meeting record did not include new capital-works funding decisions or permit-level controversies; these operational reports were provided for board awareness.
