Lynwood announces early voting, tax forum and ribbon cutting; building department reports 19 permits

Village Clerk Karen Wingfield-Bond told trustees early voting will be available locally from Oct. 21 through Nov. 4 and that a tax appeal forum is scheduled for Nov. 7 at Sandridge School. Mayor Jada D. Curry announced a ribbon cutting for the Center for Islamic Teaching on Oct. 12 at 1:15 p.m., said she had visited the grocery store site and expects it to open, and noted improvements at Mantanky Plaza.
The Building Department reported it issued 19 permits from Sept. 25 through Oct. 8, 2024, with permit fees totaling $33,615.00. These items were presented for the record; no board action was required.
