CVRPC planner outlines mapping and chapter needs for Fayston town plan update

Niki Sabado of the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission briefed the Fayston Planning Commission on needs for the town plan update, identifying specific mapping and chapter elements required for compliance and best practice. Sabado told commissioners the update should include a Future Land Use Map, an Environmental Justice goal in the Land Use section, a Forest Integrity Map and a standalone Energy chapter.
Sabado also raised Act 181, Act 59 and river-corridor questions but did not provide definitive guidance during the meeting, saying she would consult co-workers and send the commission materials and mapping assistance. Commissioners were advised that CVRPC scheduling and review could add about six months to some deliverables and the final review process, and members were asked to plan timelines accordingly.
