Fayston planning commission reappoints chair, appoints new vice chair and affirms meeting-schedule flexibility

At its April 13 meeting the Fayston Planning Commission reappointed Langford Davidson as chair, appointed Michael Duell vice chair and amended Section 3.2 of its Rules and Procedures to permit additional regular meetings when workload increases.
The Fayston Planning Commission reappointed Langford Davidson as chair and appointed Michael Duell as vice chair during its April 13 meeting. Freddie Graves moved to re-appoint Davidson as chair and the motion passed unanimously; Freddie also moved to appoint Duell as vice chair, a motion seconded by Paul Quinlan that likewise passed.
The commission kept its regular meeting day as the second Monday of each month but approved added language to Section 3.2 of the commission’s Rules and Procedures permitting extra regular meetings when workload requires it. The adopted language reads, "The Commission reserves the right to schedule more than one Regular Meeting per month based on an increased workload. The Commission will determine the schedule based on the availability of the facilities and member schedules." The motion to amend the rules was made by Chair Langford Davidson and seconded by Freddie Graves and was approved by roll call of the commission.
The re-organization was handled early in the agenda and was followed by direction to circulate an editable Word version of Chapter 3 of the Town Plan to commissioners for redlined comment ahead of the next meeting. The changes preserve the standing monthly meeting while giving the commission explicit authority to add additional sessions if project work demands it.
