Floodplain manager expected to brief Stamford planning commission; state maps still pending

A commissioner said the maps are not finished for the area and that having the state coordinator in Stamford would help residents understand whether recent remapping changes apply locally.
"She's the river coordinator and floodplain manager for the non agency of natural resources," one member said while noting Rebecca had availability and that the commission wants her to come down and speak. Members asked the clerk to circulate available maps and to coordinate the in-person visit so residents and commissioners can interact directly with state staff and resolve outstanding mapping questions.
