Spectacle Live says Colonial Theatre produced an estimated $17.8 million downtown impact

Pete Lally, presenter to the Colonial Theater Advisory Board, summarized Spectacle Live’s 2021–26 impact figures and handed board members a slide document showing investments, donations and event counts. Lally said Spectacle’s original contract required a minimum of five shows a year but that the company has averaged about 30 shows annually; “Their original contract was for a minimum of 5 shows a year. They average 30 shows a year.” He highlighted $3.8 million invested to bring national touring acts and $750,000 spent on marketing to attract visitors to downtown Laconia.
Lally also outlined community contributions: $72,000 in tickets donated to veterans and first responders and $75,000 in tickets donated to local organizations such as the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, and he cited a National Independent Venue Association estimate of a $17,804,204 positive economic impact on downtown Laconia. Board members Jim Rogato and Donna Gaudet‑Hosmer thanked Spectacle for the support to local nonprofits and community programming. The board packet included the full slide deck and handout for reference.
